GEN1402 Digital Literacy
This course aims to develop the knowledge, understanding, and essential skills required to use digital technologies appropriately, safely, responsibly, and creatively for learning, work, and everyday life.
The course covers concepts related to digital technology use, digital rights and responsibilities, access to and selection of digital media, information searching and evaluation, digital communication, media and information literacy, digital security, appropriate practices in digital society, digital health and well-being, digital commerce, and laws related to the use of digital technologies.
Students will learn through online learning materials, video lessons, quizzes, and activities that encourage the practical application of digital knowledge and skills. Upon completing the course, students are expected to use digital technologies effectively, demonstrate media literacy, recognize digital security issues, and use digital technologies creatively and responsibly.
